I am always on a mission to find amazing views when I travel. So when I went to Morocco I had to find the best rooftops with a view in Marrakesh. Marrakesh does not have many tall buildings and their traditional houses (riads) typically have a rooftop from which you can get a clear view of the city. Today’s list comprises of places that offer a clear and unobstructed view of the old town, often right in the heart of the medina.

Watching the sunset in the Sahara desert is by far the most memorable travel experiences I’ve ever had to date. I’ve been to many places in the world, including most of Europe and Asia, Russia and even Egypt, but Morocco was the place that I really fell in love with. Visiting Marrakech, camping in the Sahara desert (dedicated blog post coming soon!) and frolicking amongst the sand dunes was so surreal, unique and fun.

Those of you who follow my Instagram would know that I was recently in Marrakesh, Morocco. Morocco has been on my bucket list for a while now for its amazing colors, patterns and scenery. There were many must-sees in and visiting Ben Youssef Madrasa in Marrakesh was of course one of them! 

Ben Youssef Madrasa is an Islamic college built next to the Ben Youssef Mosque. It is the largest madrasa (Islamic college) in Morocco and was closed down in 1960.
