Tina Travels: The Most Beautiful Outdoor Pool in Marrakech, Morocco - La Sultana | Of Leather and Lace

Every summer I try to go to a beach or a nice pool to get some vitamin-D. This summer I happened to return to Morocco again (having just been in April), so I went on a hunt to find the most photogenic outdoor pool in Marrakech.

LA SULTANA – THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR POOL IN MARRAKECH

Last time I was in Marrakech, we had stayed at two different riads that were in the medina. We walked past an inconspicuous entrance that lead to a beautiful building. After venturing in I discovered that it was actually La Sultana, a hotel with a gorgeous outdoor pool in Marrakech that I had seen before on Instagram! We decided to stay for breakfast but didn’t manage to get any photos. Naturally, being the blogger that I am, this time around I had to return and get as many photos as possible.

Morocco is a country that is teeming with swimming pools. Most riads (traditional Moroccan houses – many of which have been converted to hotels) have a pool in their central courtyard. Many of them are beautiful but most of them are small or in an enclosed space. The outdoor pool at La Sultana was large and one of the most breathtaking pools I have ever seen. The pool is surrounded by domes and pillars that are typical of Moroccan architecture as well as gorgeous greenery. There are so many vantage points from which to take photos here, making this also the most photogenic pool in Marrakech!

  1. What a great “excuse” for vacation-getting a good dose of vitamin D! I love it! I think I will be using this line of reasoning when it comes to discussing this year’s vacation to my husband. I love your photos; one of my dream vacations is Marrakech!

    1. Thank you so much Adrienne! We all need some Vitamin D 🙂 Marrakech is full of amazing hotels/pools and food! Hope you do get to check them all out!
