Back in late October I had the opportunity to travel back home – to Taiwan. It was a short trip but fun-filled and packed with laughter and good times with family and friends. One of the best things about being back in Taiwan though, is that I get to chill out with my mum while I raid her closet. Surprisingly enough, she is my size (actually.. *couch* a tad smaller than I am) and she has pretty good taste (no mum jeans here).

December weather in New York brings colder temperatures, but not cold enough for me to stop wearing skirts. The dilemma, however, is not how to wear skirts during winter – an over-the-knee boots or some stockings should suffice. (I tell people I have trained my legs to feel no cold) The dilemma is how to add a pop of color to your outfit in this winter drab. The more obvious ways are to don a bright jacket/coat or wrap a colorful scarf around your neck.

Sandra Mansour is a brand I have been crushing hard on for a while. Born and raised in Switzerland, Sandra Mansour (who is of Lebanese descent) started her brand in 2010 in Beirut, Lebanon. I found her line on Moda Operandi and was smitten with her fabulously rich prints, jacquards and modern silhouettes. Her designs often feature multiple components and interesting textures/textiles that go seamlessly together. It reminds me of a more whimsical or fantasy-like vibe which I love.
