Last month, I spent six days traveling through Italy and ended my trip in Rome where I stayed at the luxurious Rome Cavalieri. Even though we were practically snowed in, the staff made my stay so comfortable and amiable. It’s a classic five star luxury resort with the most amazing views of Rome! From the amenities to the service, this hotel presents serious competition.

Rome Cavalieri – Luxury Five Star Resort With A View

The Room and the View

Getting to the hotel was a bit of a drive since it pretty much sits on top of a mountain and supplies that spectacular view of the city! A step inside is what I deem classic Italian elegance with royal blue carpets and monumental columns. The hotel is decked out in yellow-tinted marble and a gallery of paintings and artwork which feel like a museum to breeze through. I was provided a King Deluxe Room with the Rome View and it was breathtaking not to mention the killer pool right below us!

The vast marble bathroom with infinity mirrors comfortably welcomed all of my feminine products and made getting ready so convenient. There was also a personal workspace in case you’re a workaholic like I am and need to edit photos on the go! I love that it’s set up right by the balcony where I spent a lot of time because it was so refreshing! The great thing about this hotel is that all rooms have a private balcony. You just have to be willing to pay a premium for the view. And it’s 100% worth it! As the sun begins to set and the city slowly lights up, you get the most magical panorama.

5 Star Standards

Rome Cavalieri carries the Waldorf Astoria name and completely lives up to expectations with the amazing amenities, such as the Grand Spa Club, Imperial Club Lounge, and pool options. Also, if you watched my insta-stories while I stayed there, then you might remember my snap about the pillow menu which sat at the bedside. This is a true sign of a 5-star resort and only the best hotels offer this service as a way to indulge their guests. I truly felt spoiled at Rome Cavalieri. Additionally, it holds Rome’s only 3 Michelin Star restaurant. That should be enough said!

The Grand Spa and Indoor Pool

I really took advantage of the amazing spa and in-door pool. I would have loved to sunbathe outdoors but it was way too cold. But it’s evident that the indoor pool is in another class of its own. The tiled columns felt so magnificent. And the view outside was pure stunning with the snow covered trees and grass! How often can you say you went swimming as it was snowing?

The spa had a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi which I made sure to take full advantage of! After several hard days of traveling and hauling around a mound of luggage, it proved to be so relaxing and calming! The staff around these two areas were too kind and helpful and that made the experience all the better.

Food & Beverages

As I mentioned, only a 5-star worthy establishment such as Rome Cavalieri could have 3 Michelin Star restaurant. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to wine and dine at the La Pergola because you would need a reservation months in advance. I did, however, enjoy dinner at the on-site L’Uliveto restaurant. They really service you here and take their time to ensure you have a great experience. The tiramisu was best in class and an essential to try if you ever make it to this resort.

The Imperial Club Lounge is another accommodation worth splurging on! It’s an amenity offering an exquisite taste of Rome. You get all-day refreshments with a buffet of delectable snacks and drinks. You can also think of it as your traditional but exuberant afternoon tea time. The Guest Relations Manager, Umberto, is a tea expert and was so enthusiastic to share his experience and tea knowledge with me. I love hotels with people like him! I was so impressed with the service and range of teas offered! It was such a great experience and something I’ll miss about this hotel.

Overall

From the courteous staff all over the hotel to the top notch accommodations, Rome Cavalieri was on par with the best 5-star hotels I have experienced. The view of the Eternal City is a must and the Imperial Club Lounge just goes above and beyond. It was so nice to be able to run downstairs and grab a bite or relax after exploring all day in the city. I would highly recommend it. The only downside is that it’s a little far from the city, but the hotel does an excellent job servicing you to make sure you’re able to go back and forth conveniently.

Overall, if you love classic elegance, great service, and fine Italian cuisine, this is the place to be! It’s a luxury five star resort with a view.

How incredible is this view of the Eternal City?
