During my trip to Italy, I stopped over for two nights in Venice and had the grandest stay at Palazzo Volpi. This voluptuous apartment is conveniently located within walking distance from St. Marco Square, one of my favorite spots for photos in the city. Location aside, the room itself resembles a modern Venetian palace and what I consider to be the best luxury hotel in Venice, Italy for everything it comes with.

The Room and the View

I got stay in Suite III of Palazzo Volpi and fell in love with the lofty windows that open out, high ceilings, and minimal decor with hints of pink velvet and marble. Any millennial would swoon over this elegant set up. I was surprised by the spacious rooms, and I love that it was fully stocked with everything I would have in my own home, such as a washer and dryer, refrigerator, and all the utensils and gadgets a kitchen needs. I also really appreciate that there’s an elevator to take you up and down since the stairs and cobblestone roads of Venice can become tiring after a full day exploring.

The bathroom was a big selling point for me because stand-alone bathtubs make amazing photos for Instagram, but you also get to soak in warm water and enjoy yourself. If baths aren’t your thing, there’s also a shower. Overall, the apartment itself was a true escape!

As for the views, Venice was cold and windy so I didn’t get to enjoy the views from the windows much, but a quick peek out gives you a magnificent view of the Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo. I can see how this would be amazing once the weather starts to warm up.

The Service

The service at Palazzo Volpi was exceptional! The minute we arrived, they helped take our luggage up to our room and gave us a quick tour of the apartment. The team also introduced us to what they considered one of the best bakeries in town. It was situated right below the apartment, which is where all these pastries came from and they were so delicious!

At one point, I needed an iron, and although the apartment wasn’t stocked with one, the service team took my garments and ironed them for me. I love hotels whose service falls parallel to their rooms, and Palazzo Volpi truly exceeded in all these areas.

You might remember from my Instagram that Susan and I struggled getting here because we got confused about the “water taxi”. The Palazzo Volpi team was so kind to hail us a water taxi so that we could leave conveniently and efficiently for our next stop. That was a true highlight in this trip.

The Location

Palazzo Volpi’s location is great for travelers who enjoy shopping, museums, and exploring. From the cutest, hidden canals, Piazza San Marco, to Cafe Florian (the oldest cafe in Venice) and the gondola rides, everything was so easy to access. It was a short water taxi ride to and from the subway station (unfortunately, we missed the memo when we arrived).

Overall

My stay in Suite 3 at Palazzo Volpi was definitely memorable, comfortable, and grand. The room and amenities were so pleasant and made me feel so classy and posh. If you have an appreciation for serene, luxurious rooms, then this is no doubt a place you’ll love to stay. Venice doesn’t get better than this and I know I’ll be staying here again the next time I visit.

How incredible is this bathroom?
