La Sultana Marrakech is a beautiful hotel that is tucked away next to the Saadian Tombs in Marrakech, Morocco. I had the pleasure of staying here this time around in Marrakech, and here is my full review.
LA SULTANA MARRAKECH – A REVIEW
WHERE IT’S LOCATED
La Sultana Marrakech is nestled in the heart of the medina. It is right next to the Saadian Tombs and is a convenient walk to many popular tourist locations like Jemaa El-Fna (20 min) and Bahia Palace (16 min). Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel itself is actually very quiet and peaceful.
WHY IT’S UNIQUE
La Sultana Marrakech is made up of 5 riads, each with its own style and color scheme. Modeled after the Bahia Palace, the entire hotel is like a beautiful maze and each turn and corner is meticulously decorated. Unlike other luxury hotels, it has an inconspicuous entrance, making it a hidden oasis in the busy medina.
Furthermore, the hotel has a gorgeous and spacious rooftop. It has sun bathing areas, lounge areas and a restaurant that overlooks the Saadian Tombs.
POOL & SPA
To me, the most amazing part of La Sultana Marrakech is their pool and hamam spa. The outdoor pool was absolutely stunning. You can see my full post and more photos of the pool here. (Scroll down for spa photos)
ROOMS & SERVICE
Needless to say, the service at a 5 star luxury hotel like La Sultana Marrakech was impeccable. From the moment I walked through the entrance I felt well taken care of. The staff quickly settled us in and welcomed us with biscuits and, of course, Moroccan mint tea.
Their rooms were spacious and just as nicely decorated as their common areas. Of course, the bathroom didn’t disappoint either. It had a double sink, a powder area as well as a separate shower and tub.
OVERALL
Overall I definitely recommend staying here. Although the price isn’t exactly cheap (starting at about $450 a night), the experience was spectacular. If you are looking for a conveniently located luxury hotel that has stellar services and an amazing pool, try La Sultana Marrakech.
