Even before I traveled to Morocco, I had seen the gorgeous black and white columns of La Mamounia Marrakech and its amazing palace-like pool. It was plastered all over Instagram by travel and fashion loving accounts. This time in Marrakech, I came to soak in and capture the beauty of the most Instagrammable hotel in Marrakech, Morocco.

It wouldn’t be far off to describe La Mamounia Marrakech as a palace-hotel. From the moment you set foot in this hotel, every building and every detail is fit for royalty. No wonder this hotel has attracted people from all over world to come and experience its beauty and luxury.
On my first trip to Marrakech, I had actually already visited La Mamounia. We called through our hotel Les Jardins de la Medina to book a day pass at the spa (500MAD per person). This is a great way to access the gorgeous spa pool and facilities without spending a fortune. (A regular night at the hotel usually starts from $440) However, all the days were fully booked so we only wandered around the hotel. So, of course, on my second trip to Marrakech, I was determined to revisit this beautiful place and take some photos.
One of the most famous places of this entire hotel is probably the corridor/room that is lined with gorgeous black and white columns. Both times I was there the door was locked, probably because there’s always so many tourists trying to take photos there. So I politely asked to be let in and tipped the guy to thank him for the courtesy. And here are the photos from that shoot. There is always something magical about beautifully tiled symmetrical architecture. It creates a perfect frame for an Instagram-worthy shot.

Another spot in La Mamounia Marrakech that can often be seen on Instagram is the indoor spa pool. This pool features beautifully tiled columns as well as tiled pool floors. There is a throne-like platform at the center back of the pool for lounging. With the golden pillars by either side, I really felt like royalty sitting on my throne. Just next to the pool is the jacuzzi – a lesser known photo spot of La Mamounia Marrakech, but just as gorgeous. The jacuzzi is surrounded by windows that create the perfect diffused light for photography. The perfect symmetry of these spots are extremely satisfying for a symmetry chaser like me! I was so glad I was able to return to this gorgeous hotel and snap some shots.
