Metallic boots might seem a little risky, but, trust me, it’s a style that can be worn in almost any occasion. I’m an advocate of purchasing fashion items that can transition seamlessly from day to night or from one event to the next. And I’m convinced metallic boots can be one of those items. To give you a little inspiration, I am sharing four ways on how to wear metallic boots.

For the Office

To make this high-impact look less obvious at the office, make sure the bulk of your outfit is set in a dark or neutral tone. Metallic boots will accent any monotone office attire perfectly and they’ll help you stand out just enough from your colleagues. The most important factors to consider are a boot’s shaft and heel height. For instance, a thigh-high boot obviously wouldn’t work in a conservative office, but a bootie with a kitten heel definitely would.

For a Night Out

An outfit like the one I wore here is a perfect for a girl’s night out as we get closer to cold weather season because it’s not overly dressy or casual. This is the moment to bring out those metallic high heel boots. The lace bodysuit and denim mashup is sexy without exposing too much – and both are super appropriate. I decided to top this look off with my Philip Lim bomber jacket to draw in a more casual element. However, my metallic boots are what pulled everything together, adding that head-turning pop any girl can use during a night out!

At first glance, metallic boots never seem like the obvious choice, but when it comes to date night outfits, they work with everything! Anything high shine at night is pretty much foolproof. From dresses to mini skirts and shorts or jumpsuits, you can’t go wrong by wearing metallic boots. Throw in shiny accessories like a clutch and statement earrings and you’re ready to dominate with your beau.

For a simpler look, denim – particularly skinnies, straight-cut, or cropped jeans – look effortless yet cool with metallic boots. There are really so many different versions to pick from, but I personally think a block heel is the way to go for your routine coffee stops, errands, or shopping. If you don’t plan on being out too long, then a stiletto heel like the ones I wore are just as great! They’re modern, futuristic, and most importantly, comfortable for walking!
