Hotel Yountville

Luxury Living in Wine Country

Over this past summer I had the opportunity to visit California for a short wine retreat and stayed at the gorgeous Hotel Yountville. Yountville is a small town in Napa County – the home of 2 amazing Michelin star restaurants The French Laundry and Bouchon Bistro. This area is amazing for dining, casual strolls or a fun bike ride!

The Rooms/Suites

Our favorite thing about staying at Hotel Yountville was our beautiful suite. Whether you want to enjoy your room service on the balcony, take a bath in the gorgeous stand alone tub, or cozy up by the fireplace, this suite has all our needs taken care of! Our suite had tall ceilings, was extremely spacious and had a certain countryside charm to it. I loved setting up the table on our private balcony, where Mister D and I chatted while enjoying our breakfast. I must add, this was probably one of the BEST in-room breakfasts I’ve had!

Special thank you Sal The Flower Guy for providing us with a beautiful bouquet and rose petals to take photos with at Hotel Yountville. If you are in the area and need some beautiful personalized flowers Sal is your guy!

The Hotel

The moment we entered the hotel, we were welcomed by friendly staff who helped us check in and get settled. Whenever we had any questions about what to do around the area or where to go, there was always someone to help us with our inquiries. I particularly enjoy lounging around the hotel’s multiple fireplaces. Hotel Yountville created a welcoming and open environment where all hotel guests could sit and enjoy a sip of wine and beautiful Californian weather. We also took two of the hotel’s bikes to bike around the area, following the concierge’s instructions to follow the wine trail.

While you are here, save some time for a decadent spa treatment at the hotel’s spa. During my stay, I was treated to the Yountville Signature Experience and it was one of the best hotel spa experiences I’ve had! The Yountville Signature Experience is a 2 hour treatment that starts with a full body exfoliation followed by a 90 minute message. I felt so refreshed and relaxed at the end of my treatment!

Lucy Restaurant & Bar at Bardessono

The perfect way to end a day of bike riding and wine tasting is to dine at the neighboring Lucy Restaurant and Bar. Lucy is nestled inside Bardessono Hotel, Hotel Yountville’s sister property, and is just a short walk away. We enjoyed a glass of wine and some fresh, garden-inspired cuisine. The highlight for me was the beets dish – so simple yet delicious and refreshing!
