Everyone loves the holiday season for the gifting aspect, but one of the things I personally enjoy most is getting dressed for the parties! If it isn’t obvious, I’m a sucker for an elegant dress, which only means I’m constantly on the prowl for one. Lucky for you, I’ve found a ton of holiday party dresses to last you through the end of 2017.
HOLIDAY PARTY DRESSES GUARANTEED TO TURN HEADS
Getting dressed can become pretty stressful when you have holiday parties one weekend after another – or even back to back. While you can always resort to the basics (e.g. little black dress or that ubiquitous slip), I like to go above and beyond basic. That means wearing dresses with a wow factor – those with a pizzazz that will have others stunned. Remember, when it comes to the holidays, there’s no such thing as too much sparkle.

Sequin Dresses
Can you tell I’m completely on board with the sequin trend? Despite my girly inclinations, I never imagined wearing a dress that’s covered in sequin from head to toe. However, this gold sequin dress was just too gorgeous to ignore. The slim-fitting silhouette and floor-sweeping length had me at first sight! It’s proof that sequins work this season without looking too bombastic.
Velvet Dresses
If you’re not too fond of making an appearance fully decked out in sequins, try a regal texture like velvet! The plush fabric makes everything look and feel so much richer. Try a velvet dress with a plunging neckline and in a jewel tone for a festive effect.
Sexy Back Dresses
One of the things that lured me into this gold dress I wore was the cowl back. It’s such an underrated but sexy detail that goes unnoticed too often; however, it kinda makes all the difference in the world. Sure, cleavage is sexy as are legs and shoulders, but a flash of skin exposed at the back is a renewed level of sensuality. It makes a special piece feel that much more exquisite.
Thigh-Slit Dresses
If you’re looking for party dresses that will have others staring undeniably, the thigh-slit dress is the one for you. I’ve created a similar look with a skirt and a strapless top in Tokyo, Japan. Get ready to make a dramatic entrance in long strides while your legs slip out effortlessly. If this isn’t the epitome of sexy, I don’t know what is – and I’m a fan!
Red Dresses
Aside from the fact that I LOVE everything about the color red, there is nothing is as festive, bold, and cheerful as a red dress for the winter parties. Channel your inner Santa Baby and pick a lace or satin piece. You’ll dazzle in them all! Plus, there’s an abundance to pick from around this time of year!

Metallic Dresses
Metallic pieces have had a moment these last two seasons – and the shimmer and shine couldn’t have better timing! Invest in one now and I guarantee you’ll be wearing it to many more events next year. Go ahead and add black tights to make your legs look mile-long!

I LOVE THE SEQUIN DRESS! I love glitter sequins and how they catch light! They are so in right now! I saw the CUTEST glitter dress in the store “Express” a while ago and I DIDNT GET IT! what was I thinking? Anyway, since then I’ve been on the lookout for a sequin piece to add to my wardrobe for this season. Your post inspires me! I’m ‘pinning’ up a storm!
