Day 5 of my 9 Days of Valentine’s Day theme is about celebrating with your girlfriends. If you’re single or if your beau isn’t available for a spontaneous road trip, then it’s prime time to celebrate Galentine’s Day.
9 Days of Valentine – Day 5: Celebrate Galentine’s Day
I have learned with age that there isn’t a lot of time to meet up with friends on a regular schedule. If not our families, our work life leaves us with very few hours for an active social life. Scheduling time with your girlfriends in advance is the best way to squeeze in girl time. If you feel like avoiding the usual restaurant and bar crowd, you can celebrate Galentine’s Day in three different ways.
ONE
Hosting a themed party
I like to stay in over going out these days because it’s intimate and I can talk freely about whatever I want without feeling judged. I think we all deserve those days. I played on the classic Valentine’s Day theme using pink balloons and red roses. Believe it or not, I love hosting and creating the most unique tablescapes. It’s time consuming but the effort pays off when you see everyone having a good time and enjoying themselves.

Girly gift bags
If you’re not into themed parties, you can use Galentine’s Day as a way to thank your friends for being present. Putting together custom gift bags filled with goodies like nail polish and lipstick or sweet treats are some of my favorite ways to shower my girlfriends with gratitude.
THREE
Have a Boozy Brunch
I love all wines but for Galentine’s Day, rosé or is a great choice because it’s pink and feminine while champagne is perfect for celebrations. You can decorate each bottle with ribbons and custom make a name tag. If you have a lot of free time, this is one of the best days to get creative and crafty!
