5 FASHION TIPS TO ACHIEVE A COOL WINTER OUTFIT
One of the biggest obstacles to looking chic and stylish is the cold. When temperatures drop, we can’t compromise our health and safety but that doesn’t mean can’t look good either. You just have to be creative. My outfit from the weekend was proof that it’s possible to look cool and comfy while staying warm – even when it snows. With a huge selection of coats, boots, and trends to pick from, it’s so easy to get started.

Here are my top tips for nailing a cool winter outfit.
1. Try a new silhouette
Remember that it’s ok to not stick to leggings or skinny jeans all winter long. As I just said you have to be creative and willing to try new silhouettes. Although denim is never a bad idea, I wanted to wear something outside of my usual, so I threw on my newest pair from Z. Cavaricci. These bubble jeans were just perfect. The high waisted fit, loose hips, and tapered pant leg paired with a fluffy cropped sweater definitely made this outfit feel fresh.
2. Add statement jewelry
I love jewelry and winter is even more reason to bring out the best and bold. When you can’t dress the part, accessorize! I decided to jazz up my casual cool outfit with these statement earrings from Sequin Jewelry. I love the gem-encrusted teardrop shape that matches the color of my sweater. I love how it pops right through my hair.
3. Wear a different kind of coat
It’s very normal to see me wear a fur coat, a trench, or a duster; however, a puffer coat usually isn’t something I’d pull out of the closet. But a trendy piece like this will always add an instant cool factor – and it truly served its purpose. When picking your outwear, go for something you normally wouldn’t wear. You’ll be surprised with the final results!
4. Upgrade to lace-up boots
I have worn these Louis Vuitton lace-up boots all season long and I’m not even sorry about it. The right pair of lace-up boot and denim combo will always make a cool winter outfit. So, if you’re still strutting around in your basic black booties, now might be the perfect time to upgrade to a lace-up bootie.
5. It’s all in your attitude
I always look at fashion as 50% style and 50% attitude. You can only pull something off if you have the right attitude to pull it off. Sure, a cropped sweater might not be the ideal thing to wear in the winter, but if you’re unapologetic about it, anything goes! Don’t let a certain judgement steer you away from wearing what you want to wear.
