NYC is fully loaded with brunch spots, which makes finding the perfect one difficult. I finally stumbled upon the idyllic Outro NYC, so I wanted to share all the reasons you should stop by (plus a colorful winter brunch outfit).
COLORFUL WINTER BRUNCH OUTFIT AT OUTRO NYC
Outro is a coffee shop in East Village loaded with cute colorful brunch food as well as amazing drink options. You can have iced coffee with bright tinted cream on top or a tasty matcha latte – either way, you can’t go wrong. A quick search on Instagram will show you exactly how “colorful” and photo worthy this place is, which I know is essential for any fashion blogger. Outro also has the most idyllic backyard that’s worth checking out. You can tell from the photos below that this isn’t your ordinary brunch spot. There’s a unique selection of food and drinks that not only look good, but taste amazing! It’s the perfect spot to catch up with friends over a meal or just drinks.

Having done my research beforehand, I already knew that I wanted to put together a colorful winter brunch outfit, and that’s what you see today. So, let’s go over the three quick and easy ways you can brighten up your look in the winter time for a colorful brunch spot like Outro:
Get bright
When it comes to winter coats, neutrals tend to come into heavy rotation for everyone. So, try putting a spin on your winter cover up by grabbing the brightest shade you have. There’s no easier way to lighten up the overcast skies than with a bright coat. I went for this yellow aviator-inspired coat that added a colorful pop along with my red beret. I love how much more cheerful I look in color – and it doesn’t feel out of place for winter either.
Don’t shy from winter accessories
I’ve learned that winter accessories are what puts the finishing touches on a cold weather outfit. Whether your preference is a beret or a pom pom beanie, don’t forget your hat. Pick the right color and it’ll take your outfit to the next level. I picked this red beret for a touch of Parisian chic. Although I skipped the scarves and gloves, those are also great add-ons.
Dress up your denim
Denim goes everywhere with everything. For a winter brunch, it can be hard to stay warm and comfortable in skirt and tights despite how cute you’d look. I’d rather not sacrifice comfort for style when it comes to brunch, so I like to keep it casual in jeans. The great thing about denim is you can always dress it up in other ways. I added metallic boots for a hint of glamour – and I’m loving the outcome with my colorful accents. Whether you’re in the mood for pumps or thigh-high boots, bright shoes always elevate the occasion.
