People living in New York all know how important time is and how important budgeting is. There is also an emphasis on the importance of coming up with new things and consistently reinventing yourself. This is when versatile fashion items become crucial.
I was gifted this coat from my beloved mother (Hi mum! – Yes, she reads my blog and keeps it open as a tab on her phone so she can keep updated with my new posts). She is very much a practical fashionista who likes to purchase items at a discount and only chooses items that are chic AND versatile. This is a reversible wool coat by Aquascutum would be the definition of chic and versitile. Here I pair it with different items in my wardrobe to create two completely different looks.
LOOK 1
Whenever I opt for a loose fit I make sure to make up for it with a show of skin somewhere. My legs are the most resistant to the cold so it’s a natural choice to show legs during winter (sorry legs!).

LOOK 2
An easy way to change up the silhouette of a baggy coat is to put a belt on it. Winter coats are heavy so I opted for a thick and eye catching belt. The second look is more of a street chic look in the city – busy fashionista on the run to meet her next client or to discover the latest trends in stores and boutiques… Or something to that effect 😛
