It should be no surprise that Thistle and Spire has quickly become one of my favorite lingerie brands. Aside from being the lingerie fanatic that I am, I love Thistle and Spire for being a brand that empowers women…
BRAND CRUSH: THISTLE AND SPIRE
With the rise of female entrepreneurs in today’s day and age – yet still few and far between – Maggie and Lily, the founders of this label, are truly inspiring. I love that they know exactly what it means to be a woman – and how they embody and employ it in their lingerie designs. I’ve mentioned before that Thistle and Spire is an independent label owned and operated by a small team based out of Brooklyn. I love supporting small businesses and local entrepreneurs so working with the team was a no-brainer.
You probably recognize Thistle and Spire from the various instances I’ve spoken about them… For example, how to wear a lace bodysuit or bralette out – and styling mules or metallic booties. Today, I wanted to showcase a few of my favorite pieces from Thistle and Spire as lingerie – and not as a fashion statement. I believe these particular pieces showcase the versatility and important details of well-made lingerie.
It should be evident how adaptable the pieces from this collection are because you’ve seen me wear them on several occasions now. However, I want to note that they look just as sexy and feminine when lounging around. I believe that lingerie is very personal and these pieces lend that personal touch. If you pay attention to the structure, you’ll notice plenty of lines and straps meshed with lace embroidery that result in stunning undergarments. You can pick from a variety of bralettes, bustiers, bodysuits, robes, and panties that align with the kind of woman you are!
In the first set, I’m wearing a bra and panty set with a silky robe that’s perfect for getting ready (or unready). However, with the beautiful construction of the bralette, you can easily throw on a sheer white blouse or t-shirt over it for a subtle, but sexy look. The panties feel great under everything, so just slip on jeans or trousers and you’re good to go.
If you’re looking for comfy but opulent sleepwear, this crochet slip is ideal because it feels really faint but luxe on the skin – and doesn’t reveal too much. Details are everything to me, so the mix of sheer and opaque touches feel really unique along with the little tie in the back. I also love that it’s two-tone!
In the final set, I’m wearing the Constellation Bodysuit. Bodysuits are a key item in fashion right now – and I love that almost every single bodysuit from Thistle and Spire can double up as lingerie and daily-wear. It’s the ultimate wardrobe accessory for being so sexy yet wearable. The bodysuit I’m wearing here is flirty, feminine, and gorgeous because of the lace and strappy detailing. It hugs the body in all the right places – and would make a beautiful top for a special night out.
I have to admit that I’ve been really impressed with the quality of Thistle and Spire garments as both lingerie and fashion staples. If you’ve never heard of the label, I highly recommend you check them out and stock up on a few special pieces for yourself.
