Every year around mid-April to May cherry blossoms bloom all over the world. They are beautiful, feminine and perfect to take photos with. Here are some of the best spots to take photos with cherry blossoms in NYC.
BEST SPOTS TO TAKE PHOTOS WITH CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN NYC
BEST SPOT: ROOSEVELT ISLAND
I recently went to Roosevelt Island for the first time for the purpose of taking photos with cherry blossoms. It’s May already so many petals have already fallen on the ground, painting the ground pink in the most romantic way possible. Coming out of the station and walking south there is a promenade by the river that is lined with cherry trees. Here you’ll get some amazing shots with cherry blossoms. By varying the angle and direction, you can get all sorts of amazing photos, including ones with the city and the Queensboro Bridge in the background.

BEST SPOT: CENTRAL PARK
Other than cycling, strolling around, picnicking and sunbathing, you can also see and take photos with cherry blossoms in Central Park. Some best spots include the Bridle Path around the 90s, east side of the boat house in the 70s, and East Drive at 66th street.

BEST SPOT: BROOKLYN BOTANICAL GARDENS
I adore this place. I have done two photo shoots here before, once during fall and once during winter. Both times the gardens were gorgeous with amazing colors, and now it’s blossoming with the most amazing cherry blossoms. This is a very popular place for viewing and taking photos with cherry blossoms. If you want to get a nice shot remember to go early on a weekday. The gardens open at 8AM.

BEST SPOT: GREEN-WOOD CEMETERY
I have actually done a little photo shoot here before during the winter. The famed Brooklyn cemetery was gorgeous during the winter with snow covering its paths and now it’s covered with beautiful cherry blossoms. If you aren’t afraid of cemeteries, this place is definitely worth a visit.
