I have never set foot in a Western cemetery before. I had no idea it could be this beautiful. It was a serene morning after a day full of snow and Green-Wood Cemetery was covered in a thin layer of white snow. I couldn’t help but admire the landmark for its peacefulness and beauty.
My mind wondered for a bit about who these people once were and how much they were loved and missed by their family. “I don’t know their stories but I hope they are resting in peace now” I thought to myself quietly.
I brought my favorite red roses, hoping to leave it for someone and bring them some love and courage. Red roses have always been a symbol to me of how fiercely beautiful yet frail and short-lived life can be. They remind me to live life to the fullest with no regrets and to be thankful for all that you have.
I hope that one day when I’m buried deep beneath the ground my loved ones will know that I have lived as fiercely and as beautifully as the red roses they bring for me.

Wow, I love Phantom of the Opera! Thank you for the lovely comment 🙂
